Xenophobia abounds at American Trucking Network

I was riding along last night listening to these fools as I normally do. They keep my blood pressure up and my eyes open, when little Stevie Sommers reads this email purportedly from a listener who has received an unsolicited phone call. A female hispanic voice (recorded) asking the listener to contact their Senators and Representatives and urge them to pass the Immigration Reform Bill as written.
The write of this email is incensed that a hispanic, (illegal of course in her mind) would dare to call her, would dare to use the same tools as the opponents of the plan are using and listening between the lines, the writer of the email was incensed that this Mexican is breathing the same air as herself.
And of course Stevie goes off on a rant, immediately indicating that this must be an illegal and faulting them for learning to use the system.
My question is. why is it, that in the minds of the mexenophobes, and the rest, that anything with a hispanic accent must be Mexican and therefore must be illegal? Something to think about.
And while we’re on the subject of the ATN, how about Stormy last night, of course having to throw in a story that at this moment can not be verified or substantiated. A truck carrying a 100 pounds of drugs under the sleeper apprehended somewhere out west and of course, the two drivers were…..HISPANIC! If it happened, and I have my doubts, the drivers were more than likely Mexican American. More spin and hysteria from the masters!
Landlinenow, the mouthpiece of OOIDA has an article about the Nuevo Foto Munoz operation in Chicago being a front for organized crime based in Mexico. Funny thing is I am reading the story in the Chicago Sun-Times and nowhere is it mentioned that the operation was associated with anything in Mexico. Only that Senor Munoz, is the father of a Chicago city Alderman. How about that! More anti hispanic spin!
And to close, listening to Dale Sommers yesterday afternoon as he was looking for something around him made in America, and picked up and item and said, “Nope, made in CHINKLAND”! And later, making comments about “ragheads in an airport”. I think it is time to take this dinosaur off the air in the same manner as they took Don Imus…And Imus’s comments pale in compare to the comments of the “Trucking Idiot”!
With 35 years in the trucking business, 15 years making my homes in Mexico and being very outspoken about issues I believe in, makes me uniquely qualified to present Mexico Trucker Online & Mexico Verdad to the blogosphere
