Threats and intimidation against First Lady Laura Bush by Ramos & Compean supporters

How low can you go? Those that support convicted felons Ramos and Compean have a new champion in their fight to get these two convicts released from prison before they have served the sentence handed to them in Federal District Court. And their newest tool? Threats and intimidation against First Lady Laura Bush.

A silly little website Foundation for American Fairness has sent a letter to the publisher of Ms Bush’s soon to be released new book.

LAURA BUSH COULD FACE VERY ROUGH BOOK TOUR

Dear Mr. Barnett:

I am writing you today to make you aware of the protests and boycotts your client, First Lady Laura Bush, will be facing during her book tour should President Bush not commute the sentences of United States Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

While we are well aware that such book tour would not take place for a few years, we fully intend to use that time to organize our protests and boycotts. We are very confident our organized protests can disrupt many promotional efforts you may have planned. We are certain we will be able to meet your client at many book signings with huge crowds of protestors, numbering in the thousands in certain cities. While these protests may have little impact on book sales, we are certain they will put Mrs. Bush in a very uncomfortable position.

As you may know, Mrs. Bush was unfortunately involved in a tragic car accident that was responsible for the death of a young man named Michael Douglas. We believe the justice system made a fair decision and spared her any jail time. However, your client should expect to be met with reminders of such incident at each of her planned book signings. We find it rather troubling that a women who was responsible for taking of the life of another individual could serve no jail time while two men who did nothing but wound a drug smuggler could be sentenced to over 10 years in prison, most of which will be spent in solitary confinement. What is really troubling though is that your client may be earning millions of dollars from her book deal while the families of Ramos and Compean are struggling to put food on their tables.

It would be quite unfortunate that at a time when your client should be enjoying her book tour she could be dealing with huge hostile crowds holding large posters of Michael Douglas, Ignacio Ramos, and Jose Compean. It would be quite unfortunate if your client had a difficult time promoting her book. It would be quite unfortunate if your client could not enjoy book signings in her own home state of Texas, where we expect some protests will number in the thousands.

We hope you will discuss the current situation of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean with your client and explain to her that at the time of this writing Mr. Ramos and Mr. Compean will have served their punishment for all the crimes they have been found guilty, except for an unfair mandatory minimum sentence that was never meant to be used in their cases. We are firmly convinced she could help persuade President Bush to do the fair thing and commute the sentences of Mr. Ramos and Mr. Compean so that they are home in time for the holidays with their families.

The Foundation For American Fairness is scheduled to be formed on February 12, 2009 in commemoration of the 200th birthday of our sixteenth President, Abraham Lincoln.

The more you push the President, the more he will resist! And now, you have some wannabe “Patriot” threatening the wife of the President?

I remember a man who threatened and tried to have murdered the father of the President and look what happened there!

And of course, whoever this “person” is, has gone running to one of the hate groups on the internet for support and to press his agenda.

It is interesting that those who preach the rule of law and adherence to the Constitution are the ones most active in trying to gets these two felons released. Despite the fact, the violated their oaths, lied and try to cover up their crime and involved their families in a conspiracy to put this before the Court of Public Opinon.
