ICE: No Proof Home Invasion Suspects Part of Mexican Military

The newest outrage against Mexico going around the blogosphere and on the rabid right wing talk shows and overnight conspiracy fests, is the story of personnel of the Mexican Army being involved in a home invasion and murder in Phoenix Arizona. When I first heard this, I believe it was on Lou Dobbs nightly hatefest, I was incredulous at the stupidity of the report and that anyone with a lick of sense would believe it. Now, KFYI in Phoenix is reporting Immigration and Customs Enforcement is saying, mmigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said three suspects arrested in a Monday morning ….Read More

Mexican Judge releases suspect in death of Border Patrol Agent

Amid fierce U.S. government protests over the release of a suspect in the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent, Mexico yesterday pledged close cooperation with U.S. authorities. But Mexican officials said they have yet to receive a request for his extradition or arrest. Jesús Navarro Montes, who is suspected of drug smuggling, is accused by U.S. authorities of driving a sport utility vehicle over agent Luis Aguilar in January near the U.S.-Mexico border west of Yuma. Navarro was released from a Mexicali prison earlier this month after Judge Laura Serrano Alderete, of the Baja California 12th District, cleared him ….Read More

UPDATED: 12 people trampled to death in Mexico nightclub raid

MEXICO CITY (MTN) — A police raid on a crammed Mexico City nightclub turned into a deadly stampede that killed 12 people, including nine youths and three police, officials said. Police entered the New Divine nightclub, where around 1,000 people had gathered to fete the end of the school year, on Friday to break up the illegal sale of alcohol to minors and a stampede ensued, said Joel Ortega, a local security official. “Unfortunately, the person in charge of the nightclub took the microphone and announced a police operation was underway,” Ortega said, adding that his words “sparked a panic.” ….Read More

Texas to revoke truckers CDL for smuggling violationsb

AUSTIN — Truckers who smuggle drugs or people into the U.S. are now risking not only prison time but also the loss of their commercial driver’s licenses as Texas uses a longstanding law in a new border crime crackdown. “Up until today, when those lawbreakers had their trucks apprehended, they were convicted in federal court, they typically paid a small fine or served a brief sentence, then it was back to business as usual. Well, starting today, that all changes,” Gov. “Slick” Rick Perry said Thursday at the Texas Capitol with U.S. Border Patrol sector chiefs. “If you are a ….Read More

Go south for cheap gas?

There has been much talk lately in the news and on the radio and TV shows about Americans heading to Mexico to partake of the cheaper fuels available there. This quote from The Sanctuary gave me a chuckle and went on to explain why the fuels are so much cheaper in Mexico. As nativists continue to falsely claim that “illegal aliens are stealing from U.S. taxpayers”, it looks as if U.S. citizens have found a way to steal from Mexican taxpayers. Here in Mexico, gasoline is about a dollar cheaper per gallon than in the US because the Mexican government ….Read More

Lou Dobbs for Governor: Because Nothing Says “Welcome to the Garden State” Like “Show Me Your Papers Amigo!”

I saw this item on WorldNet Daily and thought it was some more of their silly rabble rousing alongside of such potential wet dream candidates for the right wing loons such as George Noory for President in 2012 perhaps with fellow loony tune Jeremy Corsi as his running mate. A New Jersey newspaper reported Dobb’s refusal to comment, but one site took the ball and ran with it, attempting to assist Mr Dobbs in his quest for public office. America’s Voice Online the voice of true Americans, established (does that word ring a bell with anyone) a website, titled DobbsforGovernor.com ….Read More

Navarrette: Dobbs, Limbaugh feed hatred of Latinos

RUBEN NAVARRETTE JR. The San Diego Union Tribune Some of those who rail against illegal immigration can dish it out but they can’t take it. Since most illegal immigrants come from Mexico or other parts of Latin America, critics sometimes say the sort of crude things that give the debate its anti-Latino flavor. But let someone call them on it and do they ever get defensive. Speaking to supporters in Palm Beach recently, Barack Obama blasted a couple of media personalities by name. “A certain segment has basically been feeding a kind of xenophobia. There’s a reason why hate crimes ….Read More

Debunking the mythical NAFTA Superhighway.

I came across the blog of a DISGRUNTLED REPUBLICAN who has written an excellent article debunking the mythical NAFTA Superhighway. We all know it makes for good late night radio, giving the loony toons a sense of worth and something else to worry about, and of course, provides the likes of Lou Dobbs and others, fodder to spread their agenda of fear amongst the masses. But this blogger, named Rod Williams, has put it all into perspective. Mr Williams makes several good points in his article. I never took it seriously and dismissed it as mere fantasy from the tinfoil ….Read More

Chief Judge Alex Kozinski of 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, purveyor of Porn?

Pardon the errors folks, but I’m laughing so damn hard, I can’t type. This breaking news concerning the 9th Circuit, which has before it, the frivolous lawsuit filed by OOIDA, The Teamsters, The Sierra Club and others, over the Cross Border Program. Perhaps this is the reason OOIDA’s Fast Track has not produced a ruling. LOS ANGELES – The chief judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals posted sexually explicit photos and videos on a Web site he maintained that he has now blocked to the public, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday on its Web site. The ….Read More
