Last Tuesday Mayor John Cook vetoed a unanimous city council resolution asking the U.S. Government to have a serious discussion about legalizing narcotics. On Tuesday, city council will have an opportunity to overturn the veto. City Councilman Beto O’Rourke put the item back on the agenda. The amendment to have the drug discussion is part of a bigger resolution introduced by the Border Relations Committee.
