With the silly little attack ads against Mary Peters and the Cross border program commencing, both sides speak out.

It shows more clearly that the Teamsters and OOIDA do not have facts on their side to support their position, so the Teamsters at least, resort to this low class type of attacks to get their point across.

Part of what we want to do is make it clear that there is a political price for doing this,” said Teamsters spokeswoman Leslie Miller.

Sure sounds like a thinly veiled threat to me!

Okay, we heard this whiny ass cunt on Steve Sommers Wednesday night where the first caller out of the box took her to task for the personal attack she made against Ms Peter’s in regards to the giant blown up photo gracing the subway stop in Washington DC. Of course, Sommers quickly dispatched this caller and went to another who shared his opinions.

The FMCSA responds.

Brian Turmail, a Department of Transportation spokesman, was dismissive of the attack.

“It’s the kind of thing you do when the facts aren’t on your side,” he said. “Considering the source, it’s pretty ironic.”

The same we’ve been saying all along.

It’ll be interesting to watch this thing play out. Generally, “attack” ads, website’s built to maliciously attack another end up doing the opposite of what they are intended to do.

And for the Teamster’s, this latest effort shows Jimmy Hoffa’s increasing frustration at the fact that he no longer has the power to make things go his way on a national level. And have no doubts. This issue is not on the minds of the majority of Americans. Only a few who feel the need to make Mexico and Mexicans the scapegoats for their own failures in life.
