A trade war was one of the things that turned a deep recession into the great depression...the other was massive spending programs that wasted money on 'make work', high taxes, and extensive government control over business. It seems we're heading down the same path. This move will benefit big labor and a small percentage of Americans, but overall cost Americans much in higher cost of goods. If this triggers a trade war with Mexico due to abrogation of NAFTA we stand to lose much more.
