Looking back now, one of my very few errors of opinion. Who could have thought when this post was written, that things would be as they are now. But still, it’s a war between the drug gangs. I won’t justify labeling them cartels. These are common thugs with weapons and no morals or ethics

Anabel, I try to deal in facts. Unfortunately, I did not see the History Channel program you mention.

I take those programs with a grain of salt though. The media has really blown the situation way out of proportion here.

If you believe what the media reports, then there would be people walking the streets with automatic weapons having running gun battles, and that never happened, even at the height of the violence in NL.

There have been a lot of middle eastern people arrested in Mexico. Most, Christian Iraqis and other middle eastern Christians trying to get into the US.

I am starting to see what your talking about I was never aware of this matter myself. Sounds like you better write to the White House and address to Obama, I had no idea all this was going on and the Police can not handle this situation, I am starting to feel like running off to Canada because America has no control over the people here.

I didnt mean AlQueida in general, meant to say a few members from there. It wasnt too long ago no more than 2yrs that they arrested a middle eastern dude at the border. Plus if you seen the HISTORY channel hour long about 'los zetas' aired not even two weeks ago, youd put two and two together.

Agreed Anabelle. I believe we'll see this stopped in Cd Juarez eventually.

President Calderon is committed to it. He cleaned up Nuevo Laredo. We have not had an incident of cartel violence there in almost two years.

There is no evidence of the presence of Al-Queida in Mexico nor in association with the cartels. State Department and anti terrorism experts have all confirmed that.

The only people repeating this are the pundits and anti Mexican loons who use fear mongering to put across their points.
