West Memphis Police Officer Bill Evans (R) and Officer Brandon Paudert (L), son of West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert, killed yesterday after making a stop on a van belonging to a white supremacist organization from Ohio
More reason why we should reestablish the assault weapon ban that President George Bush allowed to expire is evident by todays murder of two West Memphis Drug Interdiction officers (Cocaine Cowboys), West Memphis Police Officer Bill Evans and Officer Brandon Paudert, son of West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert.
Both were killed when they pulled over a white mini van with Ohio plates at MM 275 outside of West Memphis Arkansas. Two suspects emerged and began firing killing the two officers.
The van and suspects were chased to the Wal Mart parking lot where Crittenden County Sheriff Dick Busby, and W.A. Wren, chief of enforcement for the Sheriff’s office confront the suspects, both are shot. Busby in the shoulder, Wren 5 times in the gut. The suspects are killed.

Fox 19 News in Ohio has this to say about the shooting and it’s connection to Ohio.
An investigation of Ohio public record shows the Arkansas shooting could be linked to a White supremacist group here in Ohio.
New Vienna, Ohio was the home of the Jesus Christ Christian Church led by a self proclaimed white supremacist-the Aryan Nation church and its leader Ray Redfairn made headlines 13 years ago.
The van involved in today’s shooting was registered to the House of God’s Prayer -that address 143 West Main Street in New Vienna. Clinton County, Ohio records show the New Vienna property owned by something called the Universal Life of the Good Shepherd Church. It has an address 50 miles away in Middletown, Ohio.
Butler County records show the Middletown property owned by Hoge and Mary Tabor. A man named Hoge Tabor from Ohio is mentioned in a book about the Aryan Nation– Tabor told us on the phone that he owns the New Vienna property, but then hung up the phone.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these officers in this difficult time.
