Murder in the Desert - Closing arguments and Hate Speech
Oct 30, 2008 Opinions, Public Corruption
It appears the trial of Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Corbett is in it’s final stages this afternoon in Federal Court in Tucson Arizona.
We’ll have details of the closing arguments later in the day, but from the feeds coming into MT Central, closing arguments are about what is to be expected.
Special Prosecutor and former Attorney General of Arizona Grant Woods in his closing arguments asked jurors tofind Agent Nicholas Corbett guilty of second-degree murder, manslaughter or negligent homicide. Woods told jurors also that the testimony of the three witnesses remains valid and unshaken.
The testimony of the witnesses is validated by forensic evidence that contradicts the defenses version of events.
On the defense side of the closing arguments, Defense attorney Sean Chapman told jurors in Tucson that his client must be acquitted in the fatal shooting of an illegal immigrant because of a tainted investigation. Chapman says investigators failed to collect key evidence, including gloves that Dominguez was wearing and gunshot residue from Corbett. (Well D’uh! Corbett admitted firing the gun, so what difference does a residue test do?)
Chapman, contrary to evidence presented, continues to maintain that witnesses in the case are lying. Read the rest of this entry »

The defense in the murder trial of Border Patrol agent Nicholas Corbett opened yesterday with testimony from a California pathologist hired by the defense.
Richard Mason, forensic pathologist from Santa Cruz County, California, is the same M.E. that was used in the first trial, Mason is short, likely close to eighty years old, and wears very thick Mr. Magoo like glasses. Read the rest of this entry »

Murder in the Desert - More thoughts about the trial of Nicholas Corbett
Oct 28, 2008 Opinions, Public Corruption
How do you defend a Border Patrol Agent where the evidence suggests the person is guilty? In the case of Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Corbett, you call the witnesses LIARS! And why would you call the witnesses liars? Because they’re Mexican’s of course!
Not proper courtroom procedure but that seems to be the case here.
Last week, lead special prosecutor Grant Woods told the jury that Corbett’s story did not match the evidence from the scene. Meanwhile, he added, the eyewitnesses made statements that were consistent with the autopsy, ballistics and forensics. Keep in mind, it took Corbett several instances to come up with a story he thought would pass muster. It doesn’t.

How about Fighting F.A.I.R. for a change we can all believe in!

So many extremist groups today claim to be America’s Voice or the Voice of the working American when in reality, they are nothing more than Klansmen of old in leisure suits.
In Truth,America’s Voice is people such as me and you, tired of the lies and the pompous posturing of those who use the Immigration debate to fill their hip pockets and spread their peculiar brand of hate.
We’re coming upon that time of the year when they have what seems to be becoming an annual affair, called “Hold their feet to the fire” or some silly ass name. Remember last year when Steve Sommers of America’s Trucking Network went to Washington to smooze with the bigots?
So who is behind this and who are they? Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) has insinuated themselves into the extremist movement and proudly proclaim that they are the ones the media and Congress come to when answers are needed about the Immigration debate and possible solutions.
FAIR is bringing people to visit Congressional offices to discuss immigrants and immigration policy. As Members of Congress and their staff prepare to meet with FAIR supporters, you should know some key facts about the group’s origins and leaders. Did you know that:
- The Southern Poverty Law Center has named FAIR a “hate group.” The list of other groups which have earned this distinction from SPLC include: the Ku Klux Klan, the American Nazi Party, and the Aryan Nations. (Link)
- FAIR was founded by a supporter of eugenics, John Tanton, with funds from the Pioneer Fund, a foundation committed to the belief that some races of people are genetically and intellectually superior to other races. Tanton continues as a leader of FAIR and sits on its board of directors. ( Who else believed this? Wasn’t it a gentlemen by the name of Adolph?)
- FAIR employed and continues to employ known anti-Catholic bigots, including Rosanna Pulido, who said of the Catholic Church in the United States:
What better way to fill your pews and fill your offering coffers than with inviting in and giving sanctuary to illegal aliens? . . . What is being passed off right now by the Catholic Church is not Catholicism. It has nothing to do with Christianity or the Bible.(Link)
And FAIR Executive Director Dan Stein went further, targeting Latino Catholics:
Certainly we would encourage people in other countries to have small families. Otherwise they’ll all be coming here, because there’s no room at the Vatican. . . . Many immigrants hate America, hate everything the United States stands for. Talk to some of these Central Americans. (Link)
Read the rest of the evidence and more at America’s Voices and then decide if your hard earned money is going to the right place such as F.A.I.R. and wannabes such as Willie Gheen’s ALIPAC.us which is in the middle of his beggin drive at the moment!

Support Continues to build for Mexican Cross Border Program

If the protectionists and obstructionists are successful, America's economy will be hurt and her reputation as a world leader further damaged
Since they do not have facts to back their position, they have chosen to prey upon the ignorance and fears of Americans with stories of chaos and disaster waiting to hit America’s highways. Of course, as we have seen over the past year, it hasn’t happened, and in Mexico, highway safety concerning big rigs is much better than the US, and with less regulation.
The San Antonio Express News continues to weigh in on the subject with an editorial that goes to the heart of the matter.

“Perhaps someone thought it was a good idea, but it was not. Now we know why the government stopped the whole thing,”
a visiting resident alien said.
“I’ve been around so long waiting that I think I’ll wait a little longer to get things right. It’s about the papers (los papeles). I’ve been waiting for years, spending money and paying the notarios. For what? To go back? Go back to what?”
