Good for you Mr. President! These two “heroes of the right” these two convicted felons, who were convicted for lying and trying to cover up their crime, are right where they deserve to be. Perhaps a commutation of their sentence, say half off, would be appropriate when you leave the White House, but no is not the time.

No, they were not convicted for lying. The only proven liars are the drug smuggler and the U.S. Attorney. Ramos and Compean did not get a fair trial. Evidence was concealed and perjured testimony was used against them.
You are absolutely correct Blue Knight. Ramos and Compean tried to conceal the evidence of their cowardly crime by retrieving their brass, and their own testimony was used against them in a trial where the jurors were from a very pro law enforcement county.
Shooting a man in the back as he attempts to flee, an unarmed man at that is the ultimate in cowardice and abuse of authority.
Sorry but its not ok to smuggle drugs and be immune from being possibly shot. When you are told to stop by police or border patrol and run then turn around and aim your hands as if you have a gun its possible the border agents or police might try to protect themselves.
Deb.
You are correct in your first sentence. I agree with you.
Your second statement is not quite what happened.
Smuggling drugs is not a capitol crime.
It was proven in court that there was nothing in the guys hands.
They did not know at the time that he was smuggling drugs.
They had no reason to shoot him.
But, had they reported the discharge of their weapons to their supervisor as is required, then they would be on the job today.
But they never reported it and a month later, when the investigation pointed the finger at them, you see what the result was.
FREE THESE TWO MEN—-WHY IS IT THAT THE DRUG DEALERS HAVE BETTER PROTECTION THAN THE US BORDER AGENTS?
WOULDN’T IT BE NICE FOR THEIR FAMILIES IF THEY COULD BE FREE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!
These two convicted felons can be freed when they complete the sentence their crimes got them.
Drug dealers don’t have better protection. Davilla is doing time for his crime, plus the fact he’ll go through life peeing in a bag.
Their own actions and lies put them where they are and there is no justification to think otherwise.
The father-in-law, JOe Loya’s efforts to have this tried in the Court of Public Opinion, something the Judge admonished him about during the sentencing phase, is what will keep these two where they belong.
George Bush is not a man to be pushed around.
