Try this on for size. If, we can just agree that life and survival in Mexico is exponentially more difficult and that the Mexican people are discouraged about thier own government, then why on earth don't they fight to change it? Because they are only interested in the easy, make a quick buck, attitude that most americans have. It just goes to show that equality is contagious. The only question is when the minimum wage goes up to $7.25. Will the rest of the wages move up to compensate for rising inflation and quality of life changes, or down to meet the constant pressures of a higher supply of labor and a lower supply of jobs.

It's a numbers game and the only factor is supply and demand. If we as Americans, no matter our country of origin, don't start to work toward a way of securing our standard of living, then we will lose it as fast as we ship jobs to India.

Either Mexico will become a better more efficient and productive country or the US will become crippled and dragged down to a lower standard of living more often seen in Mexico.

We can't have it both ways. We as a nation are spending way to much money and effort trying to cure the world's problems. We have numerous poverty issues such as homelessness and hunger here. Do we give away the keys to the Kingdom and damn the citizens or do we pressure the Mexican people to pull thier own weight as a nation.

I can't seem to find the same problem with our neighbors to the north. Can we just find a way to secure the borders and protect US jobs so that people born in this country can actually have a future to look forward to and not just empty and hollow promises of wishful and unresponsible thinking.

The truth is relevant to both the US and Mexico. We both have an interest as people of the world to self govern and become more self reliant.
