Truth 104.1 and Jon Justice - Hate Radio for the stupid people

It began with a rally against Maricopa County Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio stepped up enforcement of Federal Immigration laws while ignoring the real crime occurring in his jusrisdiction.
The protestors, with Isabel Garcia of Coalition of Human Rights Arizona in attendance, beat an effigy of Sheriff Joe. Ms Garcia was videotaped picking up the head of the pinata a carrying it aloft through the crowd. For this, the right wing neo cons and nativists have begun a campaign of slander to have her disbarred as an attorney in Arizona and a member of the Public Defenders Office. I guess the right of Free Speech only works one way.
Who is this Isabel Garcia?
There is no greater promoter of human rights and advocate for migrant families in Baja Arizona than Isabel Garcia. She was a recipient of the 2006 Premio Naciónal de Derechos Humanos, presented by the Mexican government for the first time to someone who wasn’t born there, in order to get an idea of the scope of work she’s done. Rather than accept the award, however, she took the opportunity to call a press conference and demand that the affluent and elite south of border do more to promote economic justice among the working classes. It was a perfect example of Isabel’s work to keep the focus on the underlying roots of human migration and exploitation, rather than on herself. - from Latino Politico.
Jon Justice company filmed what they call a webisode featuring Justice with a lifesize pinata of Ms Garcia, where he was seen fondling the pinata, making sexually suggestive comments and dry humping her off camera. This is a sick individual without a doubt.
In Justice’s video the person he holds and fondles is not one that has hurt other people, but one that works to help them. Therefore any issue he has with her opinions should not have turned into his portrayal of rape, misogyny or the domination of another human being
The webisode caused an outrage amongst people of all races and was quickly pulled from YOUTUBE with this lame explanation from Truth 104.1 parent company, Journal Broadcast Group.

Convenient isn’t it? Pretty ridiculous when you consider that it was filmed and distributed as a “webisode” from Jon Justice and his staff. Apparently they realized that they crossed the line where their money flow could be endangered.

A boycott was launched against sponsors of Justices show. Immediately 7 sponsors withdrew and 4 more were considering their options.
What was Justice’s response? Like a little child caught doing something naughty, he responded;
In the meantime I also get to deal with blogs like this one that do nothing but make up their own pathetic versions of the story to make me look like I am some horrible monster. This is why it is so hard to wage this battle when people have no morals or ethics by which call standard too.
We ask you, as community allies, to step up with us in defending Isabel Garcia, demand accountability from 104.1FM and KGUN 9, and that hate speech not be given a platform in our communities.
It is our First Amendment Right, and our duty as members of this society, to denounce anything that goes against the basic human and civil rights that ALL posess. To try to silence those that would condemn torture and raciscm is contrary to the rights of us all!

This is an assault not just on those who would stand for human rights and for the voiceless, this is an assault on women, on powerful women, on public defenders, and on the first amendment right, which Isabel exercised and which set off this vengeful, sick retribution by a grinning, sweaty, leering radio personality too used to privilege and the unchecked power to spread mental dis ease and instigate harm.

And the laws being broken are civil misdemeanors, You know what those are? Citations for not cutting your grass or having an old sofa on your front porch.

I listen to 104.1 and i was going to stop listening due to the claims..until i watched the videos. Are you serious?? While his tone and some of the words were suggestive and inappropriate, NOWHERE in the video does it show him “fondling” her or raping her.I can say he took it too far trying ti get Isabel fired and it was silly. But this is just as stupid and petty.
You start the piece of by stating Isabel was just practicing her 1st Amendment rights when she beheaded the pinata,and you whine when Jon & Joe cry about it. So after Jon uses his 1st Amendment rights on the video you do the same? Hypocrites are no good PMC.
And just because the Liberal media is all anyone ever sees, doesn’t mean people who are against ILLEGAL immigration are the minority. And calling Jon a racist is childish. It’s right because Wiki says so? No it’s rights because I say so, understand? Are you one of those people who let other people tell them whats right and wrong or can you think for yourself? Just as an example, if Wikipedia were around during the slavery days Africans would be referred to as niggers most likely. But we know better than that now days don’t we, and that’s a good thing.

Well okay, i can agree with that Ramirez. I’m sure as hell not saying there is no racism. EVERYONE is prejudice about something,weather it be race or something else. We are getting a little off topic here.
My original point was that Jon Justice did nothing to warrant getting his show removed from the radio,nor did Isabela do anything terrible enough to get fired. My other point was about PCM calling Jon an asshole and a racist just because he doesn’t share the same views. It’s not about race with people like Jon and I, it’s about OBEYING THE LAW period.
Currently as we all know the law prohibits ILLEGAL entry to the country and it should be enforced as so. I do believe in immigration law reform, i am all for that. I think it should be a lot easier,cheaper,and faster for immigrants to be legalized. But at the same time it has to be secure.
Now if you believe America is only hard on Mexican immigrants and not others,well the explanation to that is common sense. We pay a lot more attention to the Mexican illegals because of the obvious proximity to the States. I might sound like an asshole for this,but that’s fine. But if you own a home are you worried about the ant hill on the other side of the neighborhood 3 miles away,or the bee hive right outside your door step?

Yes well first thing is first. Illegals need to get legalized and other issues will fall into place. Illegals are very under paid and many work under hazardous conditions etc…but they can’t complain about it until they are legal citizens. Some try to follow the long,hard,and confusing process and my hat goes off to them. But others who have been here for years have taken no steps at all,and flat out refuse to become legal citizens. I have no sympathy for those types. But how do you tell the two types apart? I guess that’s one of the dynamics that make the issue so complex.

What difference does it make if they become citizens or not?
One of the great deceptions is the “path to citizenship” that gets everyone riled when the immigration question comes up.
The majority come here to work a few years, send money home to help the family buy or build a home and establish a business and then they return to Mexico. This has been well documented over the years and continued until we went stupid crazy after 9/11.
99% of them come here, take a shit job, pay taxes they will never be able to recover as well as Social Security and now, live in fear of the knock on the door of the ICE stormtroopers.
Leave them the hell alone. They will leave on their own and we’ll all have benefited from their presence.
You call them criminals but what crime did they commit? Entering illegally? That is a Federal Civil Misdemeanor. Not criminal but civil!
And no! A crime is not a crime! There are different levels of criminal activity as I am sure you know.
Talking on a cell phone while I am driving the big rig is a “crime” in some states, but I do it as well as most people. Is that a crime that should be pursued while real criminals that harm persons and property are ignored?
I would love to see that 30% number proven as it has been disproven so many times.
And Arpaio? Federal Immigration Law is just that! A Federal Matter! Arpaio es a publicity hound and nothing more.

1. Well the difference is quite simple.If your a citizen you have the rights of an American citizen.If your not a citizen you don’t have the same rights as Americans,just the rights of whatever country you are a citizen of.Fair? maybe not,but logical.
2. For every illegal that is here and fits the heroic one sided,and sometimes true story you attribute to them, there is another one who’s intentions are not so noble.So that discussion is trivial to me.Maybe you use it to draw some of your conclusions and that’s fine. 3. Sure there are different levels of crime. But i still must disagree, a crime is still a crime.And if you talk on your phone while driving when it’s illegal in a certain state then you are a “real criminal” ,so sure you should be pursued. I got cited for going 6 mph over the speed limit.Petty, but tough shit owell.
4. As of 2003 (Clear Law Enforcement for Criminal Alien Removal Act of 2003) and (Homeland Security Enhancement Act of 2003) it is not just a Federal matter anymore. So Joe is just doing his job, and he happens to like it, so what.
5. Yep, he’s a publicity hound no doubt. But i don’t care as long as he does his job. Look at my Sheriff in Tucson Dupnik. He’s no publicity hound, but he’s lame. He’s weak and nothing more than a politician with a badge. I know, i used to work for him.
