This morning, I am sitting in my palatial estate south of the Rio Grande listening to last nights podcast of Bubba Bo and synchophants crying and whining about yesterdays notice by the FMCSA of their intent to initiate the Demonstration Project.

Continuing to show his ignorance of the facts, Bubba Bo, is pushing the idea that there are no databases in operation to check the validity of Licencia Federal de Conductors, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Hey Bubba, can you spell L-F-I-S? That is the system where U.S. law enforcement can check Mexican licenses. It has been around and accessible for several years now. But hey, why let the facts get in the way of the spin.

Baby Bear? What can one say about her. She comes on national radio and in a not so discreet manner, suggests that violence against these Mexican drivers will be the norm. Personally, if this happens, I would like to see the hate crimes statutes kick in. This is blatant racism and should fall squarely under those statutes. You say it is not racist? Then where are the threats agains the Canadian drivers? Wait! Canadians are white and for the most part, speak English! Silly me to forget that.

Magic Chef calls and states he is going to start calling his Congressmen on Monday. Lottsa luck hero! Congress is in recess and the program will be functioning before they return. And once the program begins, it will be like trying to plug a leak in the dam to stop it.

Rocking Robin (CFI) wants everyone who has a digital camera to raise their hand. (???) Rocking Robin, the trucks you see on Mines Road are shuttle trucks. They do not have bald tires, they do not run with tandems singled out. The go through the DPS inspection station at the border. Go ahead and take you pictures. Look on this site and see true Mexican trucks. The trucks are no different from what you drive at CFI. Those shuttle trucks will not be leaving the commercial zone. Bubba Bo continues to insist that the Mexican trucks coming over is an effort to get Mexicans to drive our trucks for a cheaper wage. Get with the program Eric. Mexican truckers driving Mexican company trucks will not affect U.S. wages. Read the Federal Register publication and educate yourself before sticking your foot in your mouth. You know Eric, if you will read the facts, you will see that FMCSA is in compliance with all directives.

Tumble Weed from Georgia thinks the program is a “National Threat” and playing the “terror card”! And he’s going to be on the phone to a recessed Congress. Another Georgia cracker heard from.

Cracker from Nebraska is also going to call the Congress in recess. He gets Bubba Bo to ranting about drugs and terrorists and all the ridiculous  scaremonger topics that are the darlings of the opposition. Fact is, most of these guys wouldn’t know a Mexican trucker if they came up and patted them on the ass.

And there were more, in the same vein. All I can say is the program will happen and the naysayers will end up with egg on the faces. One thing Bubba Bo said to Scruffy is that the trucks coming across the border will be better than what the rest of us are driving. And this, for once, is the truth. Imagine that!

Oh, and yes Bubba Bo, they will send the best of the best. Checked out, drug tested and with assurances that all safety regs are adhered to. And when the border is eventually opened, all trucks desiring to operate in the U.S. will be required to pass the same qualification procedures!
