Another Border Patrol Agent shoots immigrant

This story is breaking as I write this and we’ll follow the developments, but it appears another Border Patrol Agent in the El Paso sector fired his weapon at an illegal as they were coming out of a drainage pipe.

A U.S. Border Patrol agent fired his weapon at an undocumented immigrant in a South El Paso neighborhood overnight, police dispatchers reported.

Few details were immediately available, but reports from the scene say one immigrant may have been wounded in the incident.

The shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of South Hills and 9th Street in South El Paso, according to police.

Border Patrol agents and El Paso police officials remained on the scene overnight conducting an investigation into the shooting.

KTSM-TV (Ch.9) reported from the scene that border agents encountered nine undocumented immigrants exiting from an underground pipe near the border when a scuffle broke out.

That’s when one the Border Patrol agents fired his weapon and wounded the immigrant.
