You should be worried, Real Worried about…….

The continuing hysteria and campaigns of deliberate misinformation about the Mexican trucks caused me to take a closer look at what is on the American highways now and the behavior of the American drivers behind the wheel of these trucks.

I am not calling for new regulations or rules. We have enough of those. But we do need to be self-policing and do our part to put an end to some of this crap.

They talk about how dangerous a Mexican truck would be on the highways of America although the majority of Mexican truckers are highly experienced, professional and take their jobs and duties very seriously.

But as I was riding along the other day, I thought the accident on the Indiana Toll Road where an 18 wheeler coming into a construction zone was involved in a chain collision that took the lives of 8 people.

New England Motor Freight (NEMF) and well respected company with trucks governed at 62, not speeding, perhaps not paying attention to the vehicle who was reported to be traveling 20 mph in the zone. The point is, had this been a Mexican trucker, people would have been calling for blood.

The week before A senators daughter in Indiana, crushed between two semi’s.

Coming down from the east coast last week, every day, every single day, there was a road closure caused by some idiot who had lost his load, or turned over in the center lane. There are no excuses for this behavior people.

But you know what really worries me?

Caught this goober at Costco cross dock in Laredo last week. Can anyone read the gobbledy gook on the side of his tractor? Looks middle eastern to me. All that is missing is the diaper on the noggin. And this guy had a very poor command of the English language.

This worries me people! Not the Mexicans, not their trucks!
