A Small Battle lost, but the war continues

Today, by a vote of 411-3, the United States House of Representatives passed the contentious HB-1773. Without a doubt, all the morons who whined about it are claiming victory, but it ain’t over till the far lady sings. The Senate still needs to debate it and Bush will have to sign it. So for the opponents, don’t celebrate this hollow victory too much.

Looking at some of the comments made by the idiots in the House.

“We do not need 90,000-pound unguided missiles on our highways,” said Rep. Robin Hayes, R-North Carolina.

You moron! 80,000 is the legal limit in the United States, enforced for all carriers regardless of domicile!

American trucking companies have spent years getting their vehicles up to Transportation Department standards, lawmakers said. Letting Mexican trucks across the border without making them meet those standards is wrong, they said.

Who says anything about not making them meet these standards. Nowhere in the provisions of the Demonstration Project is there a call to exempt Mexican trucks from any safety requirements!

“We’re going to have a major accident somewhere, and people are going to say, ‘How did this happen?” said Rep. Bob Filner, D-California.

Added Rep. Candice Miller, R-Michigan: “We need to ensure that this program only takes places after the Mexican companies meet the same conditions that American companies do.”

Someone better turn on the news and read the fucking newspapers. There are major accident involving U.S. carriers every day on the highways of America! And one of the causes is the government sticking it’s nose in an industry that wasn’t “broke” in the first place. Changes in the HOS rules; CDL requirements cost the industry hundreds of thousands of well qualified, seasoned professionals. Coming out of the northeast last week,  in 5 days, I came upon 5 major accidents involving U.S. trucks. From rollovers to one fool who lost his container in the middle of I-85 and all, in my opinion, PREVENTABLE!

In Mexico, how many truck accidents were there? (Keeping in mind Mexican news outlet sensationlize the news, no holds barred) None! Absolutely none! Where is it safer?

“You can get a Mexican truck driver to work for a heck of a lot less than a Teamster in the United States, and you can get a Mexican dock worker to work for a heck of a lot less than a longshoreman in the United States, and that’s what this is ultimately designed to do,” said Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Oregon.

Petey Defazio, like the rest, has his head squarely up his anal track!  True! Mexican truckers are paid less, as much as half of what the American trucker earns! So what? They are not bringing drivers into the United States to work for U.S. companies. This is about allowing Mexican trucks with the employees of the carriers into the U.S. to perform a job and leave. Just like the Canadians, just like the Americans who go into Canada. It has nothing to do with dock workers nor longshoremen.  If American companies wanted Mexican drivers in the United States, driving U.S. domiciled equipment, the procedures have always been in place to make this happen. Just as they do for Eastern Europeans, Middle Easterners, Aussies and Kiwi’s! Get the story straight people!

“We don’t know how safety laws such as hours of service and drug testing would be enforced,” Teamsters President Jim Hoffa said. “This vote by the House repudiates those questionable attempts to open our borders without adequate safeguards.”

Jimmy Hoffa Jr is fucking moron like his daddy and actually deserves his daddy’s fate in my not so humble opinion. I was doing some research into this subject earlier in the week and discovered that the Teamsters were the first ones behind the wave of disinformation and out and out lies that have ballooned into the massive campaign of disinformation that the Mexican truck program has become. I guess they have to have someone to blame for declining memberships!

But since they are so damned smart (NOT!) all they need to do is look on the Mexican government websites to see how the drug testing is administered or on this site for that matter. And true, Mexico has no established hours of service although 11 hours is recommended. But it truth, they have something more precise and concise! The human body and the persons need for rest and knowing when enough is enough! I know I use 45-60 log pages to log a 30 day period simply because I require an afternoon nappy a couple of times a day and the new HOS rules do not permit that!

I am just like my Mexican counterparts. I have a family I want to return home to and rules be damned! When I am tired, I am going to take a nap! As many and as often as I feel the need! Thank you J.J. Keller for making that possible!

So as this winds it’s way through the Congress and the Courts, we will continue to expose the massive disinformation campaign being waged.

Whether or not that Mexican carriers are ultimately allowed into the United States is besides the point. I could care less although we all know it will eventually happen. My mission is to expose the lies and fraudulent statements being attributed to a country I call home!

Ah, Scotty? Senor Bartlett? If you would read this site, you would discover that I am a caucasian American trucker who happens to have the privilege of living in Mexico. I am not a “you mexicans”

But nothing was lost yet. President Bush wants this program and I imagine it will happen. We sit back and wait.

But you said a mouthful when you said “we do not want you here”! More rascism and bigotry rearing it’s ugly head.

You know, the cure for bigotry is to seek knowledge and learn. Not to be lead around by people as ignorant as yourself. Learn for yourself and learn to think as an individual. You might be surprised at the new frontiers that open to you.

No lies being posted here. I simply fight the lies being spread across the U.S. media.

Believe it are not, rascism is not confined to a small group of Americans. Mexicans are very bad about it. Those already in this country, irregardless of how they got here, look down on their cousins to the south. Many don’t want the Mexican trucks nor do they want immigration reform that will benefit their cousins. So yes, it is possible he is a racist against his own race. Mexico is a very class oriented society.

Concerning the Uncle who lives in Mexico City, another man’s opinion. As I drive around the U.S., I share the same opinion of American drivers. One doesn’t have to look far to see some idiot that should not be behind the wheel of a car or a truck for that matter.

By the way, I have driven in Mexico City and if given the choice between there and LA or NY, give me Mexico City.
